With 2020 coming to an end within a few business days, we would like to wish a happy holiday season to all our customers and partners. We know it’s been a challenging year for everyone given the pandemic. We thank you for your support and wish you all the best for 2021.
We are already looking forward to help our customers with their laser beam measurement needs in 2021.
During the holiday season our offices will be closed from December 24 to January 4. You can still submit your sales inquiries, support/RMA requests and purchase orders during this period of time and we will process them as soon as possible when we get back to work.
Laser specifications change over time for many reasons and it causes problems accross all industries. Learn about how laser output measurement solves numerous problems in YOUR industry. Download the guide below. Gentec-EO's high-accuracy laser beam measurement instruments help engineers, scientists and technicians in all sorts of laser applications from the factory to the hospital, laboratory and research center. Learn about our solutions for these measurement types:
PC-Gentec-EO installer was updated to V2.01.12
This new version fixes a bug in the "save settings" directory and includes minor user interface improvements.
All software, drivers and user manuals can be found in our download center.
Researchers from the Extreme Light Infrastructure Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP) and Thales recently demonstrated that the two-arm hybrid high-power laser system (HPLS) is able to deliver 2 × 10 PW femtosecond pulses.
The HPLS is composed of multiple pulse amplifiers and compressors, and at the end of this system is a beam-steering periscope with a leaky mirror that transmits a fraction of the beam to diagnostics equipment.
The energy meter, a QE95 detector, allowed the authors to obtain data about the HPLS's final output stage. They were able to characterize the laser's extraction efficiency and show that the system could reach up to 327 J per pulse, with a duration of merely 23 fs. They also used the energy meter to demonstrate the reliability of the system, by measuring its repetition rate and pulse-to-pulse stability.
This achievement is a new milestone in the development of high-power laser systems, and Gentec-EO is proud to have played a small part in it.
On December 1st, Gabrielle Thériault, Marketing Manager at Gentec-EO, presented our latest developments in terms of laser measurement instruments.
The presentations are now available on-demand.
Kévin Foster, Intern Sales at Gentec-EO, gave a short talk about beam profiling in the IR.
You can now watch the recorded presentations.
Our full virtual event schedule can be found here.
Our laser beam measurement experts Félicien Legrand and Charles Dumas recently presented webinars about power measurement and energy measurement.
Both webinars are now available for free on our website:
