February was a big month at Gentec-EO. Let’s recap what happened.
Gentec-EO has a new website
If you haven’t noticed already, Gentec-EO’s website has a completely new look. Get the guided tour in this article we published earlier this month or watch this quick video to discover the main features.
The new website is currently only available in English. Other languages will be added soon. In the meantime you can still visit our old website in French, German, Japanese and Chinese.

Wireless laser power measurement for all power levels
We expanded the possibilities of wireless laser power measurement by introducing BLU for the XLP series (for low powers down to the microwatts) and for the UP55C high power detectors (up to 2.5 kW).
Photonics West 2019
This year again our laser beam measurement specialist team went to Photonics West. It was an amazing opportunity for us to meet with our customers. Attendees could try our products and get answers to all their questions about beam measurement. Thank you for stopping by our booth! We’ll come back next year for sure.
Software, firmware and user manual updates available
Many updates are available this month. To download them go to our new download center.
- PC-T-RAD version 2.00.06 is available – This update fixes a bug with the wavelength correction.
- LabVIEW VI’s for MACH 6 are available. They allow for the use of all the basic MACH 6 functions. Note that a LabView licence is required to run this software.
- PRONTO-250-PLUS updater version 1.00.06 is available. This update fixes a bug that made the screens flicker at low luminosity levels.
- PRONTO-HIGH-POWER updater version 1.00.06 is available. This update fixes a bug that made the screens flicker at low luminosity levels.
- Accessories for beam diagnostics user manual version 5.0 is available.
- PRONTO-250 and PRONTO-250-PLUS user manual version 5.0 is available. It now includes model PRONTO-50-W5.
