2021 is almost over already! What a year it’s been for everyone! On behalf of the entire Gentec-EO’s staff, we thank all our customers, partners and distributors for their trust and support, allowing us to be your partner for accuracy in laser beam measurement and grow year after year.

All-new laser power and energy display device named MIRO coming in 2022
Earlier this month, we revealed our plan to bring a new laser power and energy display device to the market early in 2022.
The device specifications were not shared publicly yet, but Gentec-EO’s customers can expect it to be definitely more of a revolution than an evolution from Gentec-EO’s current display devices offering as well as anything available on the market.

QE series design modification
Gentec-EO's largest energy detectors are now manufactured with a new cable attachment. This new mechanical component is a strain relief system that improves the robustness and durability of the QE65 series and QE95 series detectors.
Please note that no other specification/feature has changed with these detectors. The technical drawings for these products have been updated to show this new attachment's dimensions, which is a few mm wider than the previous one.
Noise suppression function now available in PC-Gentec-EO
Gentec-EO's "Noise Suppression Algorithm" is a proprietary noise-reduction technique that allows for extremely low energy measurements with pyroelectric detectors (QE and UM series).
While it was previously only available with our M-LINK product, it is now also available with U-LINK and all INTEGRA energy meters. This function will greatly improve the accuracy of the lowest scale or in any scale when used in a noisy environment.
The latest version of the PC-Gentec-EO software allows you to select the sample size of the noise suppression routine. Larger sample sizes will result in increased noise suppression, and this feature works best with the external trigger.
Update your PC-Gentec-EO software today to improve your low-energy measurements.
User manual and document update
- BA series (optical attenuators) user manual was updated to version 2.1
- Drawing files were updated for QE65 series and QE95 series
- PC-Gentec-EO user manual was updated to version 8 to include information about the new noise suppression function
