Here is your monthly news from Gentec-EO in February 2024.
Gentec-EO launches a new high-power joulemeter for laser energy measurement up to 1 kW average power.
The IS50A-1KW-RMT is the highest-power joulemeter on the market. With this innovation, Gentec Electro-Optics reaffirms its commitment to supporting the always-evolving laser industry.
Gentec-EO launches a new laser energy measurement solution to accommodate extra wide beams.
The new QE195LP-S-MB features an effective aperture of 195 mm. This new model of pyroelectric laser energy detector of the QE series is now the largest in the series and can measure every pulse at up to 200 Hz and up to 700 J. With a noise level as low as 0.1 mJ, this detector can be useful in a wide range of experiments.

We have a new video on Gentec-EO Academia, our Youtube channel. Make sure to visit our Youtube channel and subscribe so you can see all the videos we publish.
In this video, Myriam Blanchet, Inside Sales Representative at Gentec-EO, answers a question that is often asked by our customers: How can I measure the power density of my laser?
In most laser applications, customers are interested to know the power density because it is the parameter that dictates the effectiveness of a laser process. You want this value to be within a small range to have the cleanest laser process possible. A laser power density that is too high can easily damage your process.
Watch this video to learn how to measure the power density.
