Same laser, different measurements: what's the problem?

Ahmed Rihane, Sales engineer at Gentec-EO, answers a question we sometimes get asked by customers: Why do I get different measurements from two different laser power meters for the same laser source? What's the problem?

Wonder no more! Ahmed provides simple yet definitive answers to this question.

Correction factors in laser beam measurement: When and why use them

Charles Dumas, International Sales Director at Gentec-EO, talks about the use of correction factors in laser beam measurement. You will learn when and why you may want to use them.

Laser power measurement in 7 steps

Ahmed Rihane teaches you how to measure laser power using a Gentec-EO laser power meter in 7 simple steps. Watch this video to learn how to measure with Gentec-EO accuracy.

User manual updates

User manuals were updated for the HP, PRONTO-SI and BA series.

In the PRONTO-SI user manual, we updated the curve for maximum power vs wavelength. The PRONTO-SI's maximum power is still 800 mW, but this maximum value varies with the wavelength. For example, at 600 nm and 1100 nm the maximum power is 800 mW, but around 900 nm it drops to 200 mW. You can also use our calculator to check if your laser parameters fit within the PRONTO-SI's specifications: https://www.gentec-eo.com/products/pronto-si?type=check
